Watch Sisters, or the Balance of Happiness

"Sisters, or the Balance of Happiness" is a 1979 West German drama film written and directed by Margarethe von Trotta and starring Jutta Lampe and Gudrun Gabriel. In this film, sisters Anna and Maria live together. While Maria is a successful executive secretary, Anna is a struggling university student engrossed in keeping a diary and taking pills. Maria is always encouraging her sister to finish school and begin a career. Then, romance buds between Maria and her boss's son, Maurice. Anna selfishly finds a way to end their relationship, and Maria soon befriends a colleague at work, Miriam. "Sisters, or the Balance of Happiness" tells the story of the good and bad times that sisters often have together.
